Demand Fiscal Responsibility and Accountability

Executive Councilors should demand that taxpayers’ dollars are not mismanaged and insure they are frugally and well spent. We need to promote economic development supporting New Hampshire businesses whenever possible.

With the approval of the approximately $5.2 billion dollars that is appropriated by the legislature, it is important we vet contracts, making sure that costs will not be downshifted to the taxpayer. The bidding process should be fair and open to all New Hampshire businesses.

Infrastructure

We need to invest in NH infrastructure and support fiscally responsible maintenance and improvement to our roads and bridges. Oversight of the GACIT (10 year Highway Plan) is very serious and needs to be addressed with candor, but also with a responsibility to the taxpayer.

Conservative Principles

The Executive Council is responsible to the citizens of New Hampshire and not to special interest groups. The Executive Council approval of appointments of Judges, Commissioners, Notary Public, Justices of the Peace, Commissioners of Deeds and Pardon Requests is important to the future of our state. New Hampshire deserves a strong, conservative Executive Councilor who is ready to consider these important appointments using our NH State Constitution as a guiding force in the process.
